Install PostgreSQL 9.2 repository

2.1 # service iptables stop

2.2  # chkconfig iptables off

2.3 # vi /etc/sysconfig/selinux -------> chang----->SELINUX=disabled

2.4 # rpm -Uvh http://yum.postgresql.org/9.2/redhat/rhel-6-x86_64/pgdg-centos92-9.2-6.noarch.rpm

2.5 # yum install postgresql92 postgresql92-server postgresql92-contrib

2.6 # /etc/init.d/postgresql-9.2 initdb

2.7 # /etc/init.d/postgresql-9.2 start

2.8 # su - postgres

2.8 # psql template1

2.9 # CREATE DATABASE alfresco;

2.10 # CREATE USER alfresco WITH PASSWORD '123abc';

2.11 # GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON DATABASE alfresco to alfresco;

2.12 #\q -------> # exit

2.13 # vi /var/lib/pgsql/9.2/data/pg_hba.conf -------> change-->IPv4 local connections:------ direct---->password

2.14 # /etc/init.d/postgresql-9.2 restart

2.15 # psql -h localhost alfresco alfresco ------> : __123abc_______

2.16 # yum install wget

2.17 # wget http://jdbc.postgresql.org/download/postgresql-9.2-1000.jdbc4.jar

3. install alfresco

3.1 copy file alfresco-community-4.0.e-installer-linux-x64.bin  to linux

3.2 # chmod +x alfresco-community-4.0.e-installer-linux-x64.bin

3.3  # ./alfresco-community-4.0.e-installer-linux-x64.bin

N.B.

Make sure you copy the postgresql-9.2-1000.jdbc4.jar file we downloaded earlier to /opt/alfresco/tomcat/lib during Alfresco installation:

# cp postgresql-9.2-1000.jdbc4.jar /opt/alfresco/tomcat/lib/

Now, back to the installation.

Setup has finished installing Alfresco Community on your computer.

Watch tomcat catalina.out logs right after starting Alfresco.

# tail -f /opt/alfresco/tomcat/logs/catalina.out

You will see the database getting populated.

Once done, login to http://localhost:8080/share using admin user and the password that you supplied during installation

TEST
