Active Directory (AD)
Active Directory คือ โปรแกรมที่ทำหน้าที่จัดเก็บข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับ object ต่างๆ เช่น User, Group, Computer หรือ นโยบายรักษาความปลอดภัย เป็นต้น โดย Active Directory นั้นจะเก็บ object ต่างๆ เหล่านี้ไว้ใน Active Directory Database และมีเซิร์ฟเวอร์ที่ทำหน้าที่เป็น Domain Controller (DC) เป็นตัวจัดการอีกทีหนึ่ง

วิธีการติดตั้ง Active Directory
1. เปลี่ยนชื่อเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ โดยเปิด Server Manager เลือก Change System Properties ในแท็บ Computer Name คลิก Change โดยเปลี่ยนชื่อคอมพิวเตอร์เป็น DC01 แล้วคลิก OK
2. คลิก OK
3. คลิก Restart Later
5. คลิกขวาที่ Local Area Connection -> คลิก Properties เลือก Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) คลิก Properties เปลี่ยนหมายเลข IP ให้เป็น Static IP address แล้วคลิก OK
7. เลือกแท็บ Computer Name -> เลือก Allow Connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication (more secure) หน้าต่าง Remote Desktop Connection จะปรากฏขึ้นมา แล้วคลิก OK
8. ทำการ Restart เครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ เพื่อ set การเปลี่ยนแปลง
9. เลือก Add Roles ใน Roles
10. คลิก Next ที่หน้าต่าง Before You Begin
11. เลือก Active Directory Domain Services
11. คลิก Add Required Features ในหน้าต่าง Add features required for Active Directory Domain Services
13. คลิก Next
14. คลิก Install
15. รอการติดตั้ง
16. คลิก Close ที่หน้าต่างแสดงผลของการติดตั้ง
17. เลือก Active Directory Domain Services
18. ใน Summary เลือก Run the Active Directory Domain Services Installation Wizard หรือ คลิกที่ Start -> Run แล้วพิมพ์ dcpromo.exe
19. คลิก Next
20. คลิก Next
21. เลือก Create a new domain in a forest แล้วคลิก Next
22. กำหนดชื่อ Forest Root Domain เป็น itfinities.com
23. กำหนด Forest functional level เป็น Windows Server 2003 แล้วคลิก Next
24. กำหนด Domain functional level เป็น Windows Server 2003 แล้วคลิก Next
25. เลือก DNS server แล้วคลิก Next
26. คลิก Yes ที่หน้าต่าง Active Directory Domain Services Installation Wizard
27. คลิก Next
28. กำหนดรหัสผ่าน แล้วคลิก Next
29. คลิก Next ที่หน้าต่าง Summary
30. เลือก Reboot on completion เพื่อ reboot เครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์
31. กด Ctrl + Alt + Delete เพื่อ log on
32. สามารถ Switch ไป log on แบบ Other user ได้
